Reverse Osmosis in McKinney for Your Kitchen Tap
We put a reverse osmosis unit under your kitchen sink so the water you drink and cook with tastes right. We check your water first, pick the stages it needs and leave the cabinet tidy. You end up with one faucet you trust for every glass.

How Reverse Osmosis Works and Who It Suits
An RO system pushes water through a membrane whose pores are much smaller than a salt grain. Dissolved salts, minerals and many trace contaminants are held back and flushed down the drain. The cleaned water fills a small tank and flows to its own faucet at the sink.
It treats the water you drink and cook with, not the whole house. If the shower, the laundry or scale on fixtures is what bothers you, whole-home filtration or a softener may suit you better. Many homes run RO together with one of them.
It is useful after sudden changes too. When a storm, outage or main break has the city flushing lines, the taste can be off for days. After the city clears the water, an RO faucet keeps your glass consistent while things return to normal.

What Comes With an RO Install
- 01
A look at your water first
We start with a test so we know what we are dealing with. That tells us whether RO makes sense and which filter stages to use.
- 02
Pre-filters and membrane
Sediment and carbon pre-filters catch grit and chlorine before they reach the membrane. That protects the membrane and helps it last.
- 03
Storage tank or tankless unit
We fit a tank or a tankless unit based on how much water you use and how much room is under your sink.
- 04
Dedicated faucet
A separate faucet goes on the counter or in an existing sprayer hole. We match the finish to your kitchen when we can.
- 05
Optional fridge or ice maker line
We can tie your refrigerator into the system. Then the ice in your glass and the water from the door are filtered the same way as the sink faucet.
- 06
Plumbing hookups done to code
The plumbing side of your install is handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers we work with. Each fitting and drain connection is made to code.
Questions about Reverse Osmosis?
Call(972) 734-3141Signs an RO System Would Help
You keep buying bottled water
If cases of water stack up in the garage, an RO faucet usually replaces them. No more hauling.
Coffee or tea tastes off
A chemical or flat taste comes through in hot drinks first. RO strips most of what causes it.
Cloudy or odd-tasting ice
Ice picks up whatever is in the water. Clear, clean ice is often the first thing people notice after an install.
White crust on the kettle
Mineral buildup in a kettle or coffee maker means dissolved solids are in the water you drink too.
Taste changed after a storm or main break
If your water still tastes different weeks after work on the lines, it is worth a test. We can tell you whether RO would help.
Worry about older pipes
If your home has older plumbing, RO adds a layer of protection at the one tap you drink from.
What the Job Looks Like
- 1
Your call and a water test
Once you call, we book a visit. We test your water and review the report together, so you have your numbers before anyone mentions equipment.
- 2
A clear quote
We tell you if RO fits and which system we would put in. Your quote comes by phone or in person, with every part spelled out.
- 3
Installation day
We turn off the cold supply, mount the housings and tank in the sink cabinet, set the faucet and hook up the drain. A mat goes down to protect the cabinet, and most jobs take a few hours.
- 4
Flushing, leak checks and a walkthrough
We run water through the system, look over each fitting for leaks and show you how to swap filters. Then we tidy up and take the boxes with us.
What Moves the Price
RO systems vary more than most people expect. The price comes down to the system you need and how your kitchen is set up. For qualifying homes, standard professional installation comes with the system. If your kitchen calls for more than that, such as drilling stone or adding a drain fitting, you hear about it before any work starts.
- Tank or tankless
- Tankless units save space and fill faster but cost more. A standard tank system is simpler and works well for most families.
- Countertop material
- Drilling granite or quartz for a new faucet takes more time and special bits. Using an existing sprayer or soap hole keeps it simple.
- Extra stages
- A remineralization stage adds calcium and magnesium back for taste. Some homes need additional pre-filtration based on their test.
- Fridge hookup and distance
- Feeding the refrigerator means more tubing and more time on the job. The farther the fridge sits from the sink, or the more cabinets the line has to pass through, the more it adds.
Common Reverse Osmosis Questions
Does an RO system send water down the drain?
Yes, a portion goes to the drain to rinse away what the membrane catches. Current models drain much less than older ones did. If water use is a concern, we can go over the choices with you.
Does RO water taste flat?
With the minerals removed, some people notice a slightly flat taste. A remineralization stage adds some back. It is a minor add-on, and most people prefer the taste with it.
When do the filters get replaced?
Pre-filters typically get swapped once or twice a year, and the membrane often lasts a few years. Your water and how much you use set the pace, and we teach you to change them yourself.
Is RO water okay to drink during a boil-water notice?
No. RO does not replace the city's notice, so follow it until it is lifted. Once it ends, swap the pre-filters if we advise it and flush the system before drinking from it.
What happens if it leaks after installation?
Give us a call and we will come take a look. Your install has our 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects, so if the leak comes from a connection or part of our work, we fix it.
